Jon Tilton (the American) and Simon Miraudo (the Australian). Two strangers from opposite sides of the globe, united by the cornerstones of Web 2.0 (Twitter, Facebook and Skype). Putting aside decades of international tension (mostly sparked by that episode of the Simpsons where Bart moons the Aussie Prime Minister), Jon and Simon examine the weird and wonderful world of film from their unique perspectives. Funny, honest, easily distracted, well-informed (kind of). At the very least, they always endeavour to keep the conversation Trending Cinema.

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10:04PM On the seventeenth episode of Trending Cinema, Jon and Simon attempt to talk about vampires, but are quickly put to shame by guests Christy Admiraal and Jennifer Williams. Hitting many different topics from the Twilight Series to True Blood, the four take part in another fun episode of Trending Cinema, and we hope you enjoy listening just as much as we enjoyed recording.
Please note that we experienced some sound issues throughout the episode. The majority of these problems were fixed with the magic powers of Audacity, but there are some remanence of these problems, especially near the end.
Episode 016 - Toy Story 3
Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 05:03PM To discuss Toy Story 3, Simon and Jon are joined by Hannah Strenger and Gazelle Garcia. Sharing a deep love for Pixar and the Toy Story franchise, the four share some of their own childhood experiences, discuss some of the films' logic, and what they liked and disliked about the final chapter of the trilogy. Thank you to Chris Nuse and Jay V for calling in to the show this week, and we hope you enjoy the episode!
Episode 015 - Fan Fiction
Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 08:42PM To start things off, we introduce a brand new Trending Cinema theme song. Each week we'll open with the song featuring a different movie quote at the start of the show. Mega thanks to Jason Vertucio for creating the music.
On our fifteenth episode of Trending Cinema, we are joined by Christy Admiraal to talk about Fan Fiction. We discuss the importance of having fan fiction as well as some of the famously bad fan fiction like My Immortal. We'd love to know what your favorite fan fiction is, so if you find something neat, Twitter us at @trendingcinema or leave us a comment.
Please note part of our discussion and audio clips played may be considered inappropriate for some audiences. We give proper warning before these segments so it's easily to avoid this part of the show.
Thanks for listening and enjoy the episode!
